Stool Pigeon

I haven't updated in a while because I wanted to post my assignments in order...And so I first needed to fix this one up a bit.  This was done for a class with Fred Lynch.  We were given a couple animal -related expressions to choose from (ie raining cats and dogs, lounge lizard, etc). I chose to do "Stool Pigeon" (decoy or police informer).

Little Red Riding Cap Finished!

Nine hours in the printing lab later....I finished my LRRC print.  I made an edition of 30.

I'm getting a little bit better with using the transparent base, though I am still trying to figure out the perfect ratios since I like working both opaquely and transparently...

Little Red Riding Hood Process

I've been working on my fairy tale series with Kelly Murphy for an independent study.  It's a lot of fun and it's nice to have someone to discuss composition and concept with.

The next story I'm remaking for my series is Little Red Riding Hood.

Sweet Little Lies

The finished piece for the sugar article.  I didn't add enough transparent base to my paints so the colors were a bit more saturated than I would have liked...so I tried fixing it with some colored pencil on top.  I did get to fix the composition so that the snake does not look as strange anymore.

Back from Ottawa

Ottawa was such an amazing experience!  The people, the screenings, the lectures...not to mention getting closer to my fellow classmates.  It was all worth it, but now I have to catch up with all my homework!

Here are some sketches I did for my editorial class with Chris Buzelli.  We had to do an illustration based on an article we read on the sugar industry.  The class ended up picking my Eve concept (with a few suggestions on changes).

Ottawa!

I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to go to the International Film Festival in Ottawa, Canada tomorrow.  I'm very excited to find new artists that inspire me!
